Learn to play Trombone
The Trombone is tenor instrument of the brass family. Different types of trombones are used, but beginners of all ages would normally begin a course of tuition on the tenor trombone. Plastic light-weight instruments are available which can be more manageable for young players at Primary School. The Trombone is held in the left-hand. Unlike other brass instruments the trombone has a slide and requires a good arm reach. By moving the slide with the right hand, thereby altering the length of the instrument, different sounds can be made. Music is played across a range of genre including classical orchestral, wind band, chamber ensemble, brass band, jazz band, big band and commercial pop bands. It is often heard playing at the most dramatic moments in films and orchestral scores.
